Next Maverick we're taking on is Dark Mantis at the Pitch Black stage. The gimmick of this stage is that you have to be kinda stealthy here. If you're spotted by certain enemies or by searchlights later in the level,it'll trigger an alarm and summon enemies constantly. The only way to stop the alert and progress is to kill the leader of that group. If you have a Thunder weapon,you can actually turn on the power if you have Axl with you,but I can't do that right now. There's another part later on where you'll need to keep a MAME-Q alive to light a path,it's those little yellow robots. The last elevator shaft has a Dr.Light Capsule to find at the top and to the right. It gets you the Hermes Body Armor part. I also ran into Vile as a miniboss here. He's weak to Ice,which I don't have yet. Dark mantis will hop around the stage trying to cut you with his arm scythes. He fires black arrows to hit you from a distance as well. His Overdrive at low HP has him jumping to the center of the screen with 2 giant sweeping scythe attacks. He's weak to Shining Ray/Ray Gun/Tenshouha. Afterwards,went to face Gravity Antonion at the Primrose stage. This is another one of those stages where you can manipulate the gravity of rooms to get around. Just be careful to not accidentally crush yourself under falling blocks or onto a bed of spikes! Axl can use his Copy Shot on the robots that can skate on spikes near the start of the level. The "miniboss" of this stage is a series of moving blocks with spikes on them. You have to survive for a set time in order to clear it. Vile may appear there as well. Past this room,rotate the area and use Axl's A-Trans to skate across spikes to the right to find another warp point,leading you to a Dr.Light Capsule. This gets you the Icarus Head Part. You can also use this transformation to reach a Rare Metal before facing the boss. Gravity Antonion can control gravity himself. he can summon a giant block into the area,swing a pillar at you,and change the gravity of the room. His Overdrive at low HP summons a bunch of giant blocks to try and crush you underneath them,so just keep moving. He's weak to Shadow Runner/Black Arrow/Rasetsusen.
