Let's Play Micro Emblem - #18: Chapter 19 & Ending
In this part, I complete the secret finale chapter and finish the game.
There are two things that make this stage unique. One, there's a dragon acting as the final boss. Two, my units are split into four parts, with enemies in very close-range. The second is arguably the most dangerous part of this chapter, because you can't control or swap what units go to what part.
The dragon, although it has a truckload of HP, the rest of its stats are not OP. Moreover, as its weapon is fire breath, it will never have a weapon triangle advantage. So, you can use your tankiest units (Knights and Armor) to block off the dragon if necessary, and slowly whittle down its health.
Sadly, Ross perished against one of the enemy troops due to bad placement. And Bob suddenly gained a surge in competence for this part.
Overall, I quite enjoyed this little game. Though, it does has it's fair share of balance issues (like the Soldiers falling behind the other classes), and other quirks (no redeployment or fast-forward option). Not to mention, it lacks flying units or something to break sieges. But, I feel it's faithful to the Fire Emblem franchise, and could have probably been on the Gameboy Color in some form.
