Let's Play Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos! - Ep.2
Episode 2: Old and New Alike
While the game on the whole has a decent difficulty curve, Stage 4 is the point in the game where the difficulty hits that point of being hard (instead of fair with hard sections); partially, this is due to some cramped spaces, but the very crowded fire section early on doesn't help with that. The boss of this stage is pathetic should you have the proper sub-weapon, since it has no chance of hitting you if you position yourself right. If you don't have that sub-weapon or ninpo... it can have some annoyances to it.
Stage 5 combines the crowded nature of the earlier section and combines it with more death-traps, and after you leave the stone aesthetic the addition of ice physics makes for some tough platforming. The boss is reaaallly simple to make up for it though, and with the roper setup makes the story impact really weak. Stage 6 happens immediately afterwards, but not much happens given the short length of the stage; however, is it me or does the very easy boss look familiar?
