So you remember Mankar Camoran? The dude that is TOTALLY a member of the Septim line since he can wear the amulet of Kings? That dude that is kind of behind the entire Oblivion Crises stuff and all? Yeah, time to hear his side of the story, and I'm feeling oddly compelled to comment on it. Well UESP, here's to one hell of half an hour of figuring out game lore that has been all but dumbed in the Niban Bay. Well, here goes:

Oh, and as I've mentioned in the video, this will be one time where I'll put spoilers in the description, so those planning on playing Daggerfall and or Morrowind will want to look away about, oh, say, now.

First off, Coldharbour is the Plane of Oblivion that belongs to Molag Bal, Meridia's plane is the Colored Rooms. Peryite's plane is unnamed or unknown, but Quagmire is Vaermina's plane. Finally, Moonshadow belongs to Azura.

Second, while I don't know what it even means to be a plane of Oblivion as opposed to anything else (if you draw a circle with 6 hexagons, is the centre shape a drawn hex as well?), I do know that if anyone, Mehrunes Dagon isn't the Daedric Prince that once kept it. If anyone, it'd be Jyggalag, who was cursed by the other princes with madness, and banished to the Shivering Isle. Incidentally, Aldmer (the first elven race that settled on Summerset Isle, not be be confused with their presumed descendants, the Altmer) myth claims Sheogorath came to be when Lorkhan lost his "divine spark", and Sheogorath was made when Jyggalag got cursed into becoming him. But enough of those theories of mine. Established lore is that Lorkhan either tricked or persuaded the Aedra to create Mundus, or Nirn, or Tamriel.

Third, I think Jyggalag would like to have a chat with Camoran about Daedric Princes being incorruptible.

Fourth, the Aedra are actually named after creators, programmers and playtesters and the like, so their status as "gods" depends entirely on how much you care about the fourth wall. In-universe they DO have power, of a sort, but that only really shows in Knights of the Nine, which is DLC I don't have. Thank you Bethesda, for selling me more of this broken gem of a game rather than adding to the lacking history and, dare I say, fixing it. Moving on.

Fifth, Lorkhan's Heart is a very, VERY significant object in Morrowind. The protagonist of Morrowind, the so-called Nerevarine, used two artefacts, Sunder and Keening, to destroy the heart, or at least the heart's physical form in the same way Martin said he'll "destroy" Sanguine's Rose. In any case, that ended the plans of Dagoth-Ur, some suitably powerful mage that had plans to use the heart for some standard Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain doomsday shenanigans.

And that's all I have to say about Camoran's speech. Which was completely wasted effort because only 3 of you know enough for that to be relevant, and the rest I assume don't care.
