OpenRA is a free program (still under development) which allows us to play the classic C&C and Dune games from the past.

The program can be downloaded at http://www.openra.net

Right now, Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert 1 is available to play for some of the story missions and online multiplayer. This is also the only program that lets you play a skirmish round with AI playing in Tiberian dawn game.

Various changes were made to the games to balance out and make the game more fun than it was ever was before, which includes ideas from RTS games that were released after these C&C titles.

Part 1 will focus on GDI and the changes the OpenRA team has done via a skirmish round against the AI.
