Let's Play: Outer Wilds (Blind) - Episode 14: A Stroll on the Ember Twin, Locating the Quantum Moon?
4For some reason I sound a bit nasal in this episode (lol), sorry about that! It is also kind of intimate that you can hear me quietly breathing at some parts LOL. Not sure if I was talking more into the top of my mic than the front, but I am also not the best and mixing and mastering my audio and I have been using the same systems for years without improving. I will eventually when I have some time. I am also considering a microphone upgrade to an XLR and spending some time trying to find my best settings.
I also really love how I sat at the quantum moon locator, stared at the quantum moon as it was located by the aforementioned locator, and then did not remark at all about the wandering quantum moon as I stared out at it. It is interesting that in games like this, you have the foreground sometimes obfuscating the more important part in the background if you are going too quickly or thinking too deeply. It makes me realize that I need to be more observant in games and in real life too. We can tell so much from our surroundings if we take the time to be inquisitive and pause to really try to get a grasp of EVERYTHING that is going on both in the foreground and in the background.
Soon enough I will be trying to learn how to master the quantum system to figure out puzzling situations like the quantum I found in the Ember City. It is not as if I haven't seen them before, but their importance in teaching you vital components of the game should not be ignored. It's only a matter of time before I encounter places that force me to learn to apply mechanics. You'll just have to keep watching to find out when ;) Enjoy!
