After spending several years with the Minions, the Overlad has grown from a small boy with a wooden club to a hulking behemoth of a man with a battle axe. However, despite the Fourth Overlord mastering his role by using his Minions to great effect against the Glorious Empire when he was a kid without anyone to guide him, we have to further prove ourselves to the Minions by completing several training exercises which include, but aren’t limited to: clubbing seals, fighting PETA elves, and starting a war with all of gnomekind after one of the little buggers ruthlessly assaulted us without a second thought.
Though while this training session is longer than the one from the first game, we gain a more story-important power than the one we got in that game in the form of our target spell, which gives us the ability to either turn the target into a loyal follower (as long as they’re not an enemy) or a pile of magical dust on the ground. However, for the time being, the biggest perk of this spell is that it’ll allow us to get into the Sanctuary and begin our attack on Nordberg.
