Let's Play Pathways into Darkness - Part 1
260Pathways into Darkness is a classic Mac game released in 1993 by a young company called Bungie Software. I'm also pretty sure that there's got to be a goth band with the same name.
Pathways is an important game, despite how cheesy it looks to our modern eyes. Games like Doom only came to the Mac after a lengthy conversion process that usually left us well behind. Meanwhile, Pathways was a Mac-only release, and even better, it was a great game in its own right.
Perhaps even more important was what it meant for the company that made it. The success of Pathways allowed Bungie Software to make a followup game called Marathon. From Marathon, we get Halo. College dorms all over the globe would be silent were it not for this game.
