Let's Play Phantasy Star IV Proto! Part 1 - Once more, from the top!
17Welcome back to Let's Play: Phantasy Star IV Proto. Unfortunately, I lost all data from the last attempt at this and have to start again. Since I cannot guarentee that I can return to where I left off with the same levels and items as before, I decided to just go ahead and start from the beginning. It's not so bad, since I had only uploaded four videos at the time of the loss.
Anyways, I'm doing a couple of things different in this run. First off, I'm recording the video without commentary, then adding commentary afterwards. This is to cut down on doing stupid random things in the video while trying to come up with something to say on a subject. Second off, I fixed the Vision Bug, which made Hahn's Vision Skill basically worthless. Thirdly, I'm going to fight no random encounters until I reach Tonoe, so that Pike joins us while we are still very low leveled, and Rein earns the most experience he can before Fal joins.
A clarification to what I've said in the video: When I say Ryre uses long range weapons, I mean she uses boomerangs and slashers. These are thrown from range, but have no bearing on the amount of damage Ryre takes.
