Let's Play Phantasy Star IV Proto! Part 5 - Argh!
11Valley Maze is a straightforward path to Tonoe, with a couple of treasures to find along the way. With Rein leading our party, the monsters here pose no threat to us, and allow us to easily get away from them should combat ensue. All in all, a pleasant trip to Tonoe.
Upon reaching the quaint valley town, we come to realize that not all Motavians accept Parmanians such as ourselves. Some downright resent us, while others are simply complacent to our existance. Either way, they accept Meseta as currency, so all is well.
Grandfather Dorin is the local information monger, and free tells all what they desire to hear: Ryre's measurements! Unfortunately, Ryre ruins our fun before we can write it all down, and Rein steps in to save the life of the blabbing old fart. Dorin tells us we can find Alshline in the basement warehouse out to the back of the village, and assigns Pike to help guide us. Rein leaves with Dorin to retrieve and item entrusted to his care, and Pike joins us for some shopping. We upgrade everyone's equipment to the Titan standard, and even chrome up Rudy's head a little, bringing his defense up and over Hahn's.
At this point, I'm going to go back to Valley Maze to raise money and experience for the trip to the basement. My goal: Rudy and Hahn to level 8, and Rudy and Ryre fully equipped with Titanium Mail. Shouldn't be a problem. See you guys Monday!
