Pokemon Planet is a 2D, free to play Pokemon MMO currently under development and in open beta. Pokemon Planet is browser based and available to all OS that can run flash (including mobile devices!). Gameplay is similar to the 2D handheld versions. No downloading required.

Fully working Pokemon system (up to Gen 4) with proper stat calculations, including IVs, EVs, random encounters, catching, storage system, etc
Fully working battle system (minus a few moves that need to be touched up), battle NPC trainers or real players
