No, I don't know if this map is a dedication of sorts to the band, but I'd lean towards no as nothing has ever been said by anyone from id Software. Ever. Just to clarify the inevitable comments I'm going to get. Anyway, this map is still just a big pile of random and still makes absolutely no sense.
