Let's Play PSX: Spot Goes to Hollywood
When I read the title of this game, I thought it might be an edutainment game. You know, like Spot the Dog. Imagine my surprise when it was actually Cool Spot! The forgotten mascot of the 7-Up soft drink! Yes, the 90s were a time when it was completely normal for food to have a video game tie in. McDonalds, Chex, Cheetos, Pepsi, & Hooters just to name a few. This fad seemed to slow down sometime in the late 00's, probably right around the creation of the iPhone and the ability to use mobile games to hit the casual market while development costs for console games steadily increased. You can still find some examples of adver-games today, but not nearly so many as in the 90's and early 00's.
The game itself is a *psuedo* port of the Genesis game, though the levels have different obstacles.
