So yep, I really enjoyed Quake a TON. It feels great to go back and play the base game and experience a newer side to Quake that I've not seen before with the expansion packs - both of which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Old school mayhem, complex levels that challenge the brain, fun and interesting enemy types and crazy guns - I really do yearn for the day when this type of shooter makes a full return because they're so much fun to me. The final boss may have been a disappointment and the death animation was amazing but I really do think it was a GREAT way to cap off this awesome game. In the future I might take a look at mods and map packs for Quake since I'd be pretty happy to go back and record more of this game further down the line but let's see what other games I can do for now!

With Armagon defeated and Quake's forces in disarray, there's only one more journey that our brave Ranger must embark on. In the final expansion; Dissolution of Eternity developed by Rogue Entertainment, we blast away the cosmic horrors and anachronistic forces of Quake one last time before closing the book on this epic adventure through space, time and the chaos that lurks within!
