So yeah, Quake is a damn good game - it's short but incredibly sweet for the length it lasts and is the perfect running time without outstaying its welcome. Big guns, big monsters and big levels is all I ask for from a shooter of this kind and it's a shame this style of game fell out of favour for other types of shooters but I'm glad to see this style make a return with games like Dusk coming soon! I do mean it when I say it's semi-blind - this is the third time I've beaten Quake but I've not played the expansions whatsoever and we're going onto them straight after the base game so that'll be fun won't it!?
