Let's Play Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes (Part 1) - The Fractured Country
This is it, most likely the longest we've held a Let's Play under wraps, and one Brandon has tried to figure out how best to get working for a format like this for almost a decade.
Welcome back to Sengoku Basara.
Now for those of you who have been here a while, we have actually covered this series before! A couple of years ago, we did cover Yukimura-den, which was a more faithful recreation of individual characters' lives in real-world Japan (sans turning Masamune into Raiden).
Basara 3, otherwise just called Samurai Heroes in the West, was Capcom's one single attempt to try to popularize the series overseas, not counting the massively retranslated Devil Kings before it. It didn't sell well, partly because of circumstances and the period it released in, but the series is by no means bad at all. It's certainly worthy of a second chance in the wake of DMC5 and Yakuza blowing up!
Oh right, also: post-commentary, and we're starting with Mitsunari's story, probably the most consequential post-Hideyoshi story to go with. ...also we can frontload with the Troy Baker discussions.
