Let's Play Shivers (with commentary) Part 5 : Busting makes me feel good

Welcome back to Shivers in the last episode I explored the main hall and the library where I found some more Ixupi vessel pieces. The library also had a very important book called South American Pictographs. This book is important because it helps identify the symbols on the Ixupi vessels. Once you know the symbols you can determine which Ixupi can be captured with which vessel but only if you have a matching pot and lid. I also solved the puzzle in the workshop which gave me access to another Ixupi vessel piece. In this episode I explore the Strange Beasts room which leads to the Amazing Plants room. When I get to the Amazing Plants room I make the mistake of searching a pile of sand too closely and am attacked by a Sand Ixupi. Luckily I restored a previous save and it is like the attack never happened. Inside the Amazing Plants room I finally found the other half to the vessel I was carrying so I am now able to capture an Ixupi. I head back to the fireplace in the professor's office but the Ash Ixupi is no longer there. I thought it only moved if it attacked you first oh well so now I have to find its new hiding place so rather than wander around all day looking for it I consulted a walkthrough. I go back into the Main Hall and head upstairs to a room identified as The Tombs and Curses room. Inside the Tombs and Curses room I found another Ixupi vessel piece after solving a puzzle. The main reason I am here though is the Tombs and Curses room leads to the Funeral Rites room where the Ash Ixupi is hiding. It is a secret room that can only be entered after solving another puzzle. The objective of this puzzle is to connect the pipes at the top with the pipes at the bottom. You will know you did it correctly because three little white balls will drop from the top and roll down into the bottom holes. When this animation is done the wall will swing open revealing some stairs leading down. These stairs lead to the Funeral Rites room. Inside the Funeral Rites room I find a journal belonging to some kid named Merrick. This kid and Beth snuck into the museum and stupidly opened the pots containing the Ixupi which is why they are roaming free. Merrick and Beth are most likely dead. Speaking of Ixupi I find the Ash Ixupi and using the completed vessel I capture it. In the next video I don't know what will happen most likely roam around trying to complete another vessel so I can capture another Ixupi and most likely solve more puzzles.
