Welcome folks to my next LP. This is Shivers which came out in 1994 by Sierra Online. Shivers was Sierra's answer to The 7th Guest and Myst. The 7th Guest because you are wandering around a creepy haunted location in this case it is a haunted museum. When the game begins some teenagers lock the main character up on the other side of the gate apparently they dared him or her to spend the night inside the creepy haunted museum because they claimed he or she was obsessed with the place oh and that our main character has been hearing voices. Apparently some kids went missing 15 years ago and they never found the bodies or the killer the teenagers tease the main character claiming that maybe they are the voices that he or she is hearing. The teenagers start getting freaked out however when they hear a creepy voice saying get out. They offer us the chance to get out but saying that we will never live down the chicken jokes if we do that. This museum belonged to someone named Sir Hubert Windlenot who has been nicknamed Windlenut by the locals because he supposedly went crazy. Anyway the museum we have been dared to spend the night in is called Professor Windlenot's Museum of the Strange and Unusual. I manage to get in to the museum not through the front door as that is securely locked. The way I get in is I use a code on the gazebo control panel which opens up to reveal a gear puzzle. The white gears must be placed above the black gears and it must be done in seven moves. What does doing this puzzle accomplish you ask it causes platforms to rise out of the water so you can walk across them. Once across the lake you come to another puzzle it is a multi-colored hexagon. The answer to this puzzle can be found by wandering around the grounds outside. The game wants me to memorize the colors and shapes that I see but since I am pressed for time I just looked up a walkthrough and got the answer. You know you got it correct because the thing will slide open and you can walk down a winding staircase. What will we find down there well you will just have to tune in to the next video.
