Oh irony. There's a few things I don't go over in this sort of tutorial session, so here's the score:

There are no magatama in this game, everyone has a set resistance and weakness, which remains throughout the entire game. Serph resists Ice and is weak to Fire, Heat resists Fire and is weak to Ice, and lastly Argilla resists Earth and is weak to Zan. Yes, there's now an Earth element in this game: the Tera line of skills. Other than that, all the other elements remain: Fire\Agi, Ice\Bufu, Electricity\Zio, Wind\Zan, Light\Hama, Darkness\Mudo, and of course Almighty\Megido. Ailments are also the same, with Mind\Nerve\Curse, although there are a few new ailments in this game, and by whatever God SMT runs with, I hate both. Charm is still the worst, although in this game closely followed by Mute, for reasons apparent later.

Weaknesses also work the same, in that you can be weak, neutral, resistant, null, absorb or reflect whatever. Except Almighty, of course, NOTHING in this game resists Almighty, although a few bonus bosses might flip a pancake if you use it on them. Cheaters.

Yes, I know. Anyway, also new in this game are Shield spells, which temporarily (read: for 1 round) SET your resistance to Void. It doesn't INCREASE your resistance, because if you Absorb/Reflect something it will STILL be set to Void. This actually makes it really easy to guess enemy weaknesses, since if they cast, say, Void Fire, you can be damn sure they are weak to fire. No Curtain King in this game, thankfully.

And that ought to do for one video description worth of tutorial most of you don't need, because guess who's actually playing the game? Not that that stops me, so more tutorial next video.
