The dark-toned rival to Sonic can't seem to catch a break when his backstory seems to be forgotten just to turn him into a generic doppelgänger villain. It's amazing how he could go from being such a likeable anti-hero to an annoying "edgy" antagonist to Sonic just because he isn't OBVIOUSLY a good guy. Yuck.
