Let's Play Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy #27 | Sith Crypts [Dark Side]
The Dark Side is with us this time.
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a 2003 first- and third-person shooter set in the Star Wars universe. It was developed by Raven Software and published by LucasArts and Activision for Windows, Xbox, and OSX.
Jedi Academy is the fifth game in the Star Wars Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series and the sequel to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast. Both games use the Tech 3 game engine, and their gameplay is largely identical.
In a new feature to the series, the player can modify the character's gender and appearance, and can construct a lightsabre by choosing the hilt style and blade colour. In addition to humans, several alien species are available.
In the campaign, the player takes control of Jaden Korr, a student at the Jedi Academy under the tutelage of Kyle Katarn. The player must complete various missions assigned to them by Katarn and Luke Skywalker. The game also features multiplayer.
Neutral Force powers are upgraded automatically every couple of missions, but Light and Dark Side powers can be chosen at will. In order to gain access to them, missions (some of them optional) have to be completed.
The choice of Force powers does not determine the player's alignment, and even by exclusively picking Dark Side powers, Jedi Academy's good ending can still be reached, and vice versa.
