Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is an MMORPG developed by BioWare Austin and published by EA in 2011. SWTOR is notable for being among the most expensive games ever made with estimated development costs in excess of $200 million at launch.
SWTOR takes place approximately 300 years after the events of the Knights of the Old Republic series and approximately 3,600 years before the Star Wars movies. The Great Galactic War saw the Sith Empire return to invade the Galactic Republic in a war that dragged on for decades before giving way to a cold war. Now, tensions are ready to boil over between the Republic and the Sith and both sides must be ready for a renewed conflict.
You can play as a character in one of eight different character classes, each with its own unique story. This let's play will focus on the Jedi Knight class which is said by fans of game to be the closest story to a spiritual successor to the KOTOR games.
