ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: October 20th, 2025.

12 years ago I attempted a Let's Play of Super Mario World via emulation, after someone I knew at the time got my first ever working emulator to run. That Let's Play was uploaded, but was later deleted because of issues relating to copyright. Years later, in 2017, I got my hands on an SNES Classic. Wasting no time, I did a playthrough of Super Mario World once more, using my Elgato Game Capture HD I had gotten recently at the time. Making it all the way to the final few challenge levels, I never got around to uploading it. Storing it away on an external drive, and I'm not entirely sure if the footage still exists anymore. So yeah, two attempts in the past with nothing to show for it.. but NO MOH!! I now welcome you to a complete Let's Play of the first game I have memory of ever playing, Super Mario World.

So what exactly can you expect from this Let's Play? Well, it's a full 100% playthrough of the game. This is accomplished by getting every single level exit, both normal & secret exits. There's 96 exits in total and once reached, the game is considered 100% complete. Since the LP turned out well, you can definitely expect more SNES Let's Plays down the road. No doubt Donkey Kong Country will be one of the next ones on the list.

Thanks to emulation, playing & specifically recording console titles from all eras has become relatively easy on my present PC. I've already done a handful of PlayStation 2 games using the widely known PCSX2 emulator, but this will be my first Super Nintendo (SNES) LP, using the BSNES emulator. Besides some slow down here and there, particularly when there's a lot of sprites on screen, I ran into zero issues getting the game to run.

A complete & 100% Let's Play of a highly beloved Super Nintendo title & my first ever video game from raw memory? But Tigerfrost never finishes Let's Plays! I said so, so it's true!

NOTE: All footage for this Let's Play is recorded and uploaded raw in 1440p at 60fps. The emulator is running the game in a 4:3 aspect ratio. There's no special intro or outro for this series, and episodes are around 1 hour each on average.
