Emperor Peony turned out to be a much more laidback ruler than Luke expected, and being a personal friend of Jade joked around with the group. But he understood his duty, and gave permission to our heroes to evacuate the citizens of St. Binah.
Back at the inn, Ion had removed the curse slot from Guy. Luke found out that Guy was formerly a Malkuth citizen, and was born in the lost city of Hod. Duke Fabre, Luke's father killed Guy's family during the Hod War which was why Guy had hateful feelings towards Luke. But Guy didn't dislike Luke in the slightest..."
