44A little bit of a deviation from the First Look. In a shocking twist, I actually keep Vardanis alive! Then, of course, I extort money from him, but it's all good. Then it's off to see that the "Guard" isn't exactly on the up and up. So...yeah...not a fan!
I've been a pretty big fan of Age Of Decadence ever since I first tried out the demo when it first came out on Steam Early Access. I'm really excited to get my hands on The Age Of Decadence and showcase it here at The Phreak Show! I'm going to enjoy myself and hope you enjoy it too as I drag you along for the ride! What Is The Age Of Decadence?
To say The Age Of Decadence is tough would be a pretty large understatement. The Age Of Decadence is a story driven RPG with tactical turn based combat. I love story driven games, especially when you are given choices that actually change the outcome of the game. Many games give the illusion of choice, or the choices alter the outcome in small insignificant ways. Not here, every choice matters, and every fight can be your last. The turn based combat seems to be well done though a bit scary. Deep character customization, multiple different ways to attack in combat, and gear and equipment back it all a bit daunting, but oh so sweet when you slay that assassin, or drop a group of thugs. So, prepare yourself to be swept away in a story set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire. Choose every action, every decision, every word carefully, for it may be your last. When push finally comes to shove and you are thrust into combat, enjoy the beautiful tactical genius The Age Of Decadence showcases. Let's just hope you're built for combat! Either way, it's time to enjoy The Age Of Decadence...and hopefully not die!
