More of the Dark World after completing the Dark Palace dungeon. The Magic Hammer will allow Link access to the southern portion of the map. West of where Link' house would be is a small forest,and a weird looking creature. He'll give you a Shovel if you agree to find his Flute in the Light World. Warp there and dig it up,then play his Flute for him one last time so he can pass on. There's a digging minigame further to the west where you can randomly dig up a Heart Piece. In Kakariko Village,play the Flute for the old man in the Pub to let him know the fate of his son. You can also play it in front of the wind vane in the center of town,which transforms it into a real bird! Now you can use the bird to warp to several spots in the Light World,as long as it can reach you. If you gave the Mushroom from the Lost Woods to Syrup,she should have Magic Powder ready for you now. Use it in the cave next to the Smithy brothers house,and the weird creature inside will halve your MP usage! Mainly just went around collecting Heart Pieces,then headed for the Swamp Palace. Also increased Link's Bomb and Arrow capacity further,and got the Bombos and Ether Medallions.
