This is kind of like closing the barn door after the cows have gotten out, but there is a Stage 8-X where you fight Orochi on a different (non-demony Hellscape) map, don't get an ending for defeating him, and where Orochi is treated like a regular officer rather than getting a cinematic intro where he glides in from the sky. It also demotes Cao Pi from his temporary position as "Star of the Wei Story" and makes it more about Cao Cao. But hey, at least the 8-X maps are different for each force.
