Let's Play Towertale - #1 (Lionel): A Knight's Quest
15Welcome to my blind/first-impressions Let's Play of Towertale (PC), a 2D story-driven action game, developed and published by MiSou Games. For full disclosure, I received a key from the developer through Keymailer in order to LP this title.
In this title, you take on the role of one of four characters, each with their own story, on a quest to battle their way to the top of a mysterious tower in order to gain the ultimate wish - "the ability to change one's fate". In their way are several fearsome guardians, each protecting a floor of the tower.
So far, I am enjoying it. It's a boss rush game through and through, and all the bosses have recognizable tells and patterns. I'll have to see how the other characters and bosses play before I make any conclusions.
In this episode, I defeat the first five bosses in Lionel's story.
