Despite what I said at the end of the video, the fastest way to get money early on is by venturing into the first floor of a nearby dungeon. You'll get more HP for free when you exit, so you won't have to spend Gold on that at the castles. The Dungeon of Montor is just north of where I ended the episode, and it's a good place to start--just don't go too far inside!
