Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of Victor Vran: Overkill Edition. In this episode we enter the Sanctum Sanctorum to have our final battle with Gabriel. Gabriel is the man behind the voice that has been harassing us the entire game. A man that is no longer a man, and is in fact a corrupt vampire lord bent on taking over Zagoravia, and who knows, maybe even the world. We head into battle attempting to defeat Gabriel while also completing some of the challenge requirements. These include defeating him without using shrines, which we fail before we even get into the battle. Defeating him with three active hexes, and without using demon powers. Another one is to defeat the vampiric totems with a hand mortar, which is probably the easiest of the challenges to complete. We die when we are unable to heal ourselves and the vampire totems are draining our life away. We come back and complete the challenge for destroying the totems with a hand mortar though, so are free to try another weapon moving forward. After a nearly 20 minute battle, it seems we are victorious. We are of course, not, and have to now find some devices that are protecting him and destroy them before we can even begin the second half of the battle. We take this lull in the action to complete some of the other challenges we have for this map, which includes destroying some of Lord Gabriel's pets in creative ways. Namely, slay miscreations with the shotgun. We destroy the first Aether while Gabriel defends it by shooting his purple bull crap at us. We set free the miscreations and begin blasting away with our shotgun, putting Gabriel on hold for now. This takes us quite awhile actually, because we forget that we have three active hexes on. We finally complete this one, then track down the final Aether, destroy it, then prepare for the final battle of attrition. And what a battle it is, it takes a very long time to both whittle his health down, and make sure ours is up at the same time. We try different combinations of weapons and demon powers but it just seems we have to be persistent and careful in taking Gabriel down. We have a couple close calls, but save ourselves with the use of potions at the last second. It helps we are using a shotgun with life steal as well. After over an hour of this nonsense, we finally wipe that smile of Gabriel's face, and silence his stupid voice forever. At least until we enter a different level where he's scripted to speak with us, despite being dead now, but who's really going to fault the logic in a game like this? We finally are victorious and and watch the final cutscene as Gabriel fades away, and revel in our victory. This won't be the final episode, as we have a few more things to take care of, but this is the end of the main story. I will see you all next time!
