Maiev, Anyndra und Sereia sind ins innere Sanktum vorgestoßen und haben ihre Armee versammelt. Außerdem suchen sie nach Akama, der immer noch verschwunden ist. Maiev vermutet, das es Illidans Schuld ist. Außerdem sind die Aschenzugen die einzigen die Ahnung vom inneren der Schwarzen Zitadelle haben und daher wird es schwer fallen vorzustoßen.
Auf den Weg begegnen sie Illidans höchste und mächtigste Generäle, die für die drei aber kein Problem darstellen. Als sie Akama finden, sind sie verwirrt warum er Illidan folgt, was aber mit einer Gehirnwäsche zu tun hat. Akama fleht sie an seinen Schemen zu besiegen, um die Kontrolle wiederzuerlangen. Als er dann endlich wieder er selbst ist, bedankt er sich, und holt sein Volk als Unterstützung gegen Illidan.
Viele weitere Generäle fallen und auf einmal stehen sie vor den Dämonenjäger mit dem alles begonnen hat. Ein schwerer letzter Kampf beginnt, und auch Ishanah und Voren'thal kommen als Unterstützung herbei.
Nach Illidans Tod ist Maiev verzweifelt über ihren Lebenszweck, und verschwindet augenblicklich. Akama betet dafür, das diese Hallen einst wieder vom Licht gesegnet werden...
The tenth and final chapter of the Warcraft 3 Custom Campaign "Shadows of Hatred" by Sclammerz.
Maiev, Anyndra, and Sereia have advanced into the Inner Sanctum and assembled their army. They are also looking for Akama, who is still missing. Maiev suspects it's Illidan's fault. Also, the Ashtongue are the only ones who have any idea of the interior of the Black Citadel, so it will be difficult to advance.
Along the way, they encounter Illidan's highest and most powerful generals, but they don't pose a problem for the three. When they find Akama, they are confused as to why he is following Illidan, but it has to do with him being brainwashed. Akama begs them to defeat his shade to regain control. When he's finally himself again, he expresses his gratitude and brings his people in as support against Illidan.
Many more generals fall and suddenly they face the demon hunter who started it all. A tough final fight begins, with Ishanah and Voren'thal also arriving to assist.
After Illidan's death, Maiev despairs of her purpose in life, and immediately leaves. Akama prays that these halls will once again be blessed by the light...
