Illidan und Vashj unterhalten sich über die aktuellen Geschehnisse wie Magtheridons Tod, den Angriff auf Shattrath und die Bedrohung durch Akamas Draenei.
Kael taucht auf und ist überrascht das Illidan anwesend ist und seine eigene Armee anführt, anstatt es ihnen zu überlassen. Der Dämonenjäger wird wütend das er so etwas sagt, und wird langsam misstrauisch das der Elf so langsam zu viel vom Fel einnimmt.
Währenddessen unterhalten sich Marcus Auralion, Maiev und Anyndra über die Draenei von Akama und wie sie entstanden sind. Leider merken sie auch das eine große Armee Illidans unterwegs ist und gehen dieser hinterher.
Das alles war aber eine Falle, und sie müssen in eine Höhle fliehen. Um die anderen zu beschützen, opfert sich Marcus und wird von Kargath getötet.
Kael hingegen spricht mit Kil'jaeden, den Lord der Brennenden Legion, der ihm und seinem Volk helfen will. Der Elf ist beeindruckt und will Illidan verraten... aber zu welchen Preis?
The second interlude of the Warcraft 3 Custom Campaign "Shadows of Hatred" by Sclammerz.
Illidan and Vashj discuss current events such as Magtheridon's death, the attack on Shattrath, and the threat of Akamas draenei.
Suddently, Kael shows up and is surprised that Illidan is there, leading his own army instead of letting them do it. The demon hunter gets angry that he would say such a thing, and grows suspicious that the elf is absorbing too much of the fel.
Meanwhile, Marcus Auralion, Maiev, and Anyndra converse about the draenei of Akama and how they came to be. Unfortunately, they also notice that a large army of Illidan is on the move and go after it.
But it was all a trap and they have to flee into a cave. To protect the others, Marcus sacrifices himself and is killed by Kargath.
Kael, on the other hand, speaks to Kil'jaeden, the lord of the Burning Legion, who wants to help him and his people. The elf is impressed and wants to betray Illidan... but at what cost?
