When the Light Dies is a survival game with roguelite elements set in a desolate, frozen wilderness. Step into a murky world of shadow and obscurity as a lone survivor fighting to keep the darkness and the horrors that lurk within at bay.
Features
Repel monstrous hordes: Utilise an arsenal of weapons to hold back waves of foul creatures closing in from all directions.
Keep the light burning: Light scattered firepits and refill your oil lantern to stave off the encroaching darkness. As the light levels drop so does your sanity, resulting in faster and more deadly adversaries.
Survive a hostile environment: Manage your temperature gauge and be mindful of the adverse effects of frostbite.
Scavenge the wastes: Search a nightmarish, procedurally generated world for precious supplies. Consume food to stay healthy and read books to calm your feverish mind.
Grow your power: Absorb the souls of the slain and unlock powerful new abilities. Pin, reroll, and stack upgrades to develop your character as you choose.
Cast forbidden dark magic: Gain eldritch knowledge and expend sanity to unleash cosmic blasts, baleful flames, and unholy healing spells.
The stars will align: Death is not the end. Look to the night sky and chart a course through strange and esoteric constellations to gain permanent stat buffs and abilities.
So we've played When the Light Dies before here in the channel. The game is currently in Early Access and it is getting updated frequently.
The last update (1.4) just made the whole game better.

"Here is the full list of character classes to discover:
Captain: Your trusty ship captain! This default class all-rounder has already helped you slay many foes in your battle against the darkness.
First Mate: Face the horde head-on with the first mate’s high health and defence stats. But don’t get carried away, the first mate has lower sanity and movement speed than most other classes.
Ice-master: The ice-master knows how to keep warm! Your sanity might be at a low point but a higher temperature stat means that you’ll be spending less time searching for bonfires.
Surgeon: Always keep a clear mind. Sacrifice a little health, stamina, and temperature but keep your wits about you for longer when playing as the surgeon.
Engineer: Running for your life just became a whole lot easier. Choose the engineer with his high stamina and put these gruesome enemies behind you.
Cook: The cook is used to the heat of a kitchen and not this icy wasteland! Starting with lower temperature, his high stamina and sanity might just save him in the long run.
Marine: Although slower than his fellow shipmen, the marine won’t be defeated easily thanks to his high defence stats.
Ship’s Boy: Looking for the ultimate challenge? Start your run as the ship’s boy with significantly lower health, stamina, sanity, and temperature stats. Will you survive the darkness?"
