The fourth floor is in many ways the most important in the game (except for the tenth and final floor, of course), because it is here that the party is given the main quest. Up until then the heroes have presumably just been exploring the dungeon for fun...

On this floor we also find one of those exceedingly rare fixed encounters (this is the second of three, the last being the end boss Werdna himself!), which the tireless adventurer can exploit endlessly to generate extreme amounts of XP. That said, I didn't find it nearly as useful as the much easier Murphy's Ghost on the first floor - it's only when you get the devastating mage spell Tiltowait (which I hadn't acquired yet when recording this video) that this particular fight gets really easy and thus useful for grinding.
