In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Worshipers of Cthulhu (Demo Version). This game is a city builder with real time strategy naval combat (water demons basically instead of ships). It plays pretty much like "Republic of Pirates" and "Anno 1800" with Cultists! This game reminds me of "Gord" with the Horror vibes and "Frostpunk" with the random events decision making. You are a cultist leader and your goal is to develop your cultist nation on the starting island and build up your followers eventually taking over other islands. Provide for your follower's needs and perform sacrificial rituals to gain resources that is used to unlocks knowledge (Research), and later to summon demons. You can create effigies that is essentially sacrificing material resources to gain new followers and other resource types (favors, faith, devotion etc). Summon Demons (similar to naval ships) that can then be used to take over other islands. This video covers pretty much everything that is in the demo. The game is an interesting take on the city builder with a different theme. Looking forward to seeing how this game develops.
