Greetings and salutations everyone! Welcome to my 24th and final episode in my first Let's Play of XCOM 2!!!!!!

In memory of Butcher and Knockout. Their sacrifice helped to save the human race

And here we are, the last part of the last mission. Its sure been a roller coaster of plot and emotions.

The Etherals make their last stand in their bastion under the sea. The Commander's Avatar does a good job, but losses were always expected on this suicide run. Knockout and Butcher gave their lives to keep the enemy at bay long enough for victory to be won. Their deaths leave a hole in the heart of XCOM and they will be missed greatly.

While Humanity is fighting back and winning, and ADVENT is on its last legs, there are still more questions than answers.

We now know that the Etherals found a chance for revenge against an unknown enemy inside the genetic structure of humans. That they used the entirety of their combined research and skills to transform the Commander into their superweapon.

But that begs the question....

What is this unknown enemy that even the Etherals, at the height of their power, could not defeat? What was able to conquer the Etherals and set all that we have seen and learned into motion?

I do not know....but I know we are going to find out. Humanity has crappy luck in that regard....

And just what was that purple psionic stuff rising from the sea? Not sure...but I hope we get and expansion soon!
