In the last episode you saw something slightly terrifying. A landed large UFO. My three best units were fatigued from the last mission and we're just barely into our second month with NO uprades to anything. I figure I have 4 possible choices:

1. Avoid the UFO as suggested by several people and the devs.
2. Send a squad of Red Shirts in and if they win, great, if not, who cares, they're Red Shirts?
3. Assemble the best squad I can from my available troops and pray for the best. OR
4. Take my veterans and best units, even if fatigued, and just have them recover afterwards.

I take option 4 and the mission begins. It didn't go how I expected and I made several mistakes. No one's perfect.
