Welcome back to Yu-gi-oh Arc-V. If we thought Birds vs. Birds was fun, how about Performapal vs. Birds? Okay, maybe not as interesting on paper but this was probably one of the more intense duels I've had in quite a while, at least the ones where I actually enjoyed the duel and not just because the opponent was finding ways to completely destroy me until I either concede the duel or get a "heart of the cards" moment. This duel basically consisted of Crow walling up with his Blackwing Synchro monster until I can find a way around it...or he finds a way around it for me.

I question early on about why Performapal Salutiger's ability didn't go off when it destroyed Crow's Blackwing - Bora the Spear and initially thought it was because I didn't have any Performapal Pendulum monsters in my deck. Turns out that wasn't quite right as we saw later in the duel, but if I had to take a stab at it I'm guessing it's because Salutiger was sent to the graveyard and thus the ability no longer triggers. Even though Bora was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, it and Salutiger were destroyed at the same time and thus the ability never triggered.
