This is a rather common thing for D&D. Always beware tombs hidden out in the middle of nowhere. Nobody sets up a tomb in the middle of nowhere without having something shady going on. It's likely hiding some sort of dark magic, either as an eternal guardian to keep it out of the world or as a place to toy with such things for eternity. And if you find the remains of tombs from an old city, it's likely to have picked up new residents doing shady things with the property.
