I genuinely don't know how the woman in the audio logs can act like this is entirely the fault of the Earth government and that humanity provoked the Vorus, because let's face it, the aliens basically went "making guns out of Space Jesus Oil offends the Space Jesus Oil, and if you do that we will send out the Spider God Avatars and murder everyone." This entire alien race is DANGEROUSLY UNSTABLE. Like, I had my doubts before, but the spider god thing just clinched it.

Also, point of note: The Vorus god mech uses promethium as part of its shielding. It's also a weapon. The Vorus are huge hypocrites.

Alien Rage is a five-hour adventure through a Transformer's colon that delights in reminding you of every other, better game you've played that this game tried to emulate and failed. Even the increase in difficulty is largely a result of increased damage and grenade spam, the same as conventional modern shootman games; they just got rid of Recruit and renamed Normal, Hardened and Veteran. As for the rest of the factors that make it hard, it's anyone's guess as to whether they're deliberate decisions or just bad programming.
