113Welcome to the third level of the crypt, the place where the first chapter takes off the kid gloves for the first time.
Up until the point, the enemy encounters have been fairly manageable. Small in size or full of relatively easy to defeat enemies, they're not too hard to mop up with even a lightly equipped party. The third floor is when the game begins to throw at you what you'll see more and more of as it progresses: large hordes.
The key to surviving these battles is to identify the top priority targets to take out first and to use what ranged attacks you have to soften up your foes before they reach you. Every one you can take out from afar is less opportunities for you to take damage, something you ill want to avoid in a protracted conflict. Make sure to protect your more squishy party members too and don't be afraid to fall back if you must.
