Let's test Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga: Testing some things
I never used Camtasia before to mess with the audio. Though I doubt it will be enough to counter the never-ending desycning problems, there were a few things that I did want to test, namely muting original audio, adding a second track, and testing the result of me flipping the "awesome" button on my audio card.
This is the original, "unedited" version of the video, where I mainly demonstrate the absolute BROKENNESS of this game's combat system (I did use the zoom-in-pan to get a workable resolution, but that didn't change the contend of the video any).
For those that never played the game; the Mushbadge AA flat out increases our damage output depending on how many mushrooms you have ("Shroom Power"). The thing is that it never scales like normal damage, so even when you're only supposed to do half or even 1/10th normal damage, you'll still deal triple digit damage even when you're certainly not supposed to. Add to this the Great Force item, which outright doubles all damage given and taken, and you broke the game.
Case in point; if I jump on an enemy (which will start a battle with Mario/Luigi dealing some damage to all enemies) I deal 40-48 damage. With the Mushbadge AA and maxed out mushrooms, I deal over 200. Now consider the fact that 40-48 is already very high, since I luck-manipulated and grinded the hell out of my attack stat.
