Why would anyone build a city on the ocean when you know that there's a spooky under-water leviathan that will destroy everything you've worked to build? And why is the solution to send someone down to "feed" the monster instead of moving away or something? Don't ask those questions unless you want to be the next volunteer to Feed the Deep!
This game really scratched an itch for me. It features a rogue-style mission system, a shop with items and upgrades, underwater horrors, and resource collecting that reminded me distinctly of dome keeper (in the best possible way). You have to dive, upgrade, and dive deeper. You eventual goal is to get the food to The Deep, and fill that hungy tummy!
I really enjoyed my time with Feed the Deep, and will for sure continue playing it off-screen.
