Let's Try: Let's Build a Zoo!
0Have you ever wanted to manage a zoo, but Planet zoo had too much to actually manage? Do you like hiring people, firing people, setting prices, buying animals, and also playing god? Do you like research trees and also moral decisions that shape your gameplay to either be a goody-good or Joja Corp?
If you said yes to at least a couple of those, than Let's Build a Zoo might be for you! Your job as the park manager is to grow the zoo into something bigger. You have to get animals, keep them fed and watered; research stuff to add variety to make people happy and spend their money; handle tasks given to you by investors and just random people; hire workers and pay them wages; and more!
It's a cute game with a surprising amount of mechanical depth without feeling overwhelming. I wish there had been a bit more of a tutorial arc, because there were a lot of things that I ran into and had to deal with on the back-foot. I appreciated that there were systems that unlocked as you went along (morality, bus routes, farming, etc).
The overall style of the game i enjoyed, and I really liked the effort put into the various animals.
