Madball: How hard can a game be with only a single control (jump). As it turns out: very! The premise of Madball is simple: your ball moves to the right across the level, and you can make the ball jump. Do that successfully (don't fall or crash into anything) until you get to the end of the level. It starts simple, and then occasionally spikes in difficulty. That's when I hit level 20. I was very hooked on this game.
Only One Burn: I have played a couple lunar lander-style games at this point, and Only One Burn is yet another one. The catch with this game, however, is that you only have one burn, and you cannot turn it off early. You have a 3 second burn to work with, as well as some navigation boosters. It is surprisingly challenging, and the bagpipes that play when you die was an unexpected delight.
Hidden Paws: It's winter, and there are cats out there in the snow. It's your job to find them. You have to open everything, upend everything, and generally poke around and look everywhere for these adorable little fluffballs. There's also yarn balls to find for some reason. It's a very charming game, with some absolutely infuriating controls.
