The October 2023 Game of the Month is here! (I'm a bit late in getting the video out this month too, sorry!)
And this game is really cool - I like it a lot! Fast, action-y gameplay with good music is always great! ;)
It is really hard, though! xD
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how deep the story/lore goes, considering there is an expanded universe-of-sorts for Orebody. But it was shocking to see such a thing in a small(?) Indie game.
Alas, it isn't perfect. There is some heavy slowdown at points, and doing some maneuvers feels laggy too (eating jumps or ducks, for example). But at least the continue system is there and isn't too unforgiving, so it's not too big of an issue.
But, despite those issues, it is still a fun game! It's pretty difficult, too, which is a nice change of pace from the last few Games of the Month.
I look forward to seeing what else Indie Heroes 3 will bring us. :)
