Let's Try Regiments | Mobile Defense Skirmish | RTS in 1989 as the Cold War turns hot
1Regiments is a realtime strategy game by Bird's Eye Games and published by Microprose. It is 1989 and the Cold War has turned hot. In this single player game you side with NATO (USA, FRG, Belgium, UK) or the Warsaw Pact (Soviet, GDR) and play with historic divisions. There are three different skirmish modes and also a campaign, the operations. In the campaign the revolution in the GDR does not stay quite as peaceful as it luckily did in reality.
Regiments has quite a few new and interesting ideas that it brings to the realtime tactics table and even features night fights. Microprose was so kind to grant me early access (thank you!), the game will be released on 16th August. Consequently, everything is still subject to change till release.
In this video I show you the Skirmish mode "Mobile Defense" in which you have rescue civilians while being under attack. I played and recorded this video using a preview build.
