Let's Try - Titan Souls - Part 2 of 2
3I feel like this game has a lot of potential and a really good idea, but it's missing the mark for me. Like it wants to be Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls, but I feel like it's lacking the precise controls and hitboxes that the souls games have, and the tools and tutorialization and difficulty curve that makes SotC a triumph when you get there. Like, when I shot that boss in the face, and missed his weak point by a few inches, I was more annoyed at that than I was relieved that I won. At that moment I knew that "sure, this time the janky hitboxes played in my favor, but this means that in the future I might actually hit the edge of what I'm aiming for and the game just says 'Nope, I'm just going to pretend you missed'"and that moment made me really not interested in doing a full LP. Because if it's my fault that I'm failing, that's fine. I (pretending I have enough free time) can practice off camera and get better, so it'll be entertaining to watch. But if that doesn't really matter, it's not something I want to waste my limited time on. Really disapointing too, because I was following this game for a long time, bought it a bit ago, and it looks amazing. But if feels and controls like a 6/10.
And it could be a good bit of fun if you have tons of time to play, but not for youtube. The world looks great and feels like SotC. But it doesn't feel "challenging" or "hard" in a dark souls way. It feels untuned and rushed.
