The idea of basic everyday objects becoming the focus of supernatural powers isn't a new one. Take a look to Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Warehouse 13, and Friday the 13th the Series for other stories that have taken that concept. But I love the lore differentiating between Objects of Power and Altered Objects. The idea that they would have different categories between objects that can empower the user versus objects that just create random, potentially dangerous, strangeness is great and completely logical. And the terms used are very clinical and in keeping with an agency style organization like the FBC.
