Level 50 Chongyun goes pure Anime mode on Yang energy and No-Hits the Level 93 Cryo Regisvine
7This one was made a little tougher for the Co-Op buff I had on the boss. Anybody else present and the boss starts mixing it up, adding a whole other random factor. That being said, I waited to actually pull this one together until somebody I knew was struggling with it.
The Regisvine relies on shock value for the most part. Slow, creaking wind-up followed by sudden, jerky delivery.
-Its forward head-slam is easy enough to avoid; It quits tracing you almost a full second before it moves to deliver. As its HP dwindles, it'll be more common for it to mix it up and do a triple hit version of this. Just keep ready for it at all times when you punish it between attacks.
-When a circle appears all around it, duck back. That frost floor damages you constantly. It'll fade after just under a minute. Usually it'll do one of two things; Try to spam headbutt shockwaves, icicles, or another move.
The headbutt shockwaves are easy to avoid. If you sprint a half second before it even slams down, you'll outrun the shockwaves.
The icicles are a pain. They trace you, are as fast as your sprint, and he fires them for a while. But it's still possible to jive them with your I-frames. Think Dodgeball in B/F/S or Gym class.
The other move it'll do during this mini-phase is a spam of AoE Crystals. They *almost* exclusively pace *you*, so avoiding this attack is literally as simple as walking in wavy lines while keeping any iota of attention on the forward path. When the ice floor around the regisvine vanishes, you can run back in and punish it. If you're close enough to physically strike it, you're out of range of the crystals. There is no reason to be getting hit by the ice crystals; You will outpace them if you stay moving and aren't walking.
When it gets back up, it'll go for a jet of frost in a 360 of the arena, narrowing your mobility options. It stops trailing you for a half second before it fires. Use that time to sprint around either of its sides, leading it, and just when it's about to hit you, reverse and I-frame through the Frost.
Other'n that, rinse lather and repeat until the oversized weed gets whacked.
